Warranty

Rivo Product Warranty

At Rivo, we stand behind the quality and workmanship of our shower systems, hand showers and accessories.

This voluntary warranty applies to eligible Rivo products purchased directly from Rivo or through an authorised Rivo sales channel in Singapore. Where a product was purchased from another seller, the customer should ordinarily approach that seller regarding the applicable sale contract. Nothing in this warranty limits any statutory rights the customer may have against the relevant seller.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship arising under normal residential use, subject to the terms and exclusions below.

Consumer rights
This is a voluntary product warranty provided in addition to the rights and remedies available under applicable Singapore law. The warranty periods, conditions and exclusions below do not exclude, restrict or replace any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

1. Warranty Periods

Warranty coverage begins from the date of delivery shown on the original order confirmation, invoice or delivery record, unless otherwise confirmed by Rivo in writing.

Where a product was supplied with different written warranty terms at the time of purchase, Rivo will assess the claim with reference to the applicable order documentation, proof of purchase and warranty terms issued for that transaction.

Product category Covered component Warranty period
Shower systems Core mechanical components 3 years
Shower systems Electronic components 1 year
Shower systems Detachable accessories supplied with the system 1 year
AscendSpray hand showers Hand-shower body and operating mechanism 12 months
AscendSpray accessories Supplied shower hose, wall holder, hook and mounting accessories 6 months
Air8 filter cartridges Replaceable filter media Consumable item

Shower-system mechanical components

Mechanical components include the core mixer body, internal water-control mechanisms, diverter mechanism, operating controls and other mechanical components integral to the main shower-system body.

Shower-system electronic components

Electronic components include the real-time temperature display, illumination, turbine generator, sensors and other electronic features supplied with the applicable shower-system model.

Detachable shower-system accessories

Detachable accessories may include the supplied hand shower, shower hose, rainfall head, jet spray, wall brackets and other removable accessories, depending on the product purchased.

AscendSpray hand-shower components

Hand-shower coverage includes the product housing, spray selector, pause control, internal flow mechanism and spray outlet mechanism where failure is caused by a manufacturing defect.

This voluntary warranty is provided to the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed by Rivo in writing. Relocation of the product does not by itself invalidate coverage, but the warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by dismantling, transportation, reinstallation, altered plumbing conditions or conditions at the new installation location.

2. What the Warranty Covers

Subject to reasonable verification and assessment, this warranty covers manufacturing defects that affect the normal operation, structural integrity or materially acceptable appearance of the covered product.

Examples may include:

  • Failure of a covered selector, diverter or operating mechanism.
  • Internal leakage caused by a defective covered component.
  • Failure of an eligible electronic feature under normal operating conditions.
  • Cracking, separation or structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect.
  • Failure of a spray outlet mechanism caused by a manufacturing fault.
  • A material surface or finish defect that satisfies the assessment principles in Section 5.
  • Missing, incorrect or visibly defective components reported as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.

3. Shower-System Installation and Operating Conditions

Rivo shower systems must be installed correctly and used with a compatible plumbing and water-heating arrangement.

Product performance may be affected by the condition of the property, including incoming water pressure, available flow rate, existing pipework, water-heater configuration and the use of multiple outlets at the same time.

The shower-system warranty does not cover loss, damage or failure to the extent that it was caused or materially contributed to by:

  • Incorrect installation, assembly or connection.
  • Installation contrary to the supplied instructions.
  • Incompatible water heaters or plumbing arrangements.
  • Insufficient incoming water pressure or flow.
  • Misaligned, damaged, corroded or leaking existing pipework.
  • Debris, sediment or foreign material from the property's water supply.
  • Damage caused while drilling, mounting, dismantling or installing the product.

Where installation is carried out by an independent third-party installer, workmanship-related concerns will be assessed in accordance with the applicable installation arrangement and Singapore law. Where Rivo arranged the appointment, Rivo will assist with reasonable coordination between the customer and installer. Product defects remain subject to this Rivo product warranty.

4. Hand-Shower Performance and Maintenance

The spray experience and flow rate of a hand shower depend on the property's incoming water pressure, available flow, hose condition, water heater and plumbing arrangement.

Pressure-enhancing or flow-boosting features are designed to create a fuller-feeling or more focused spray. They do not increase the source water pressure available from the property's plumbing system.

Easy-clean nozzles and integrated cleaning-pin features assist with the removal of deposits but do not make the product maintenance-free. Periodic rinsing and manual cleaning may still be required depending on water conditions and usage.

Air8 filter cartridges

  • Air8 filter cartridges are replaceable consumable components.
  • Replacement is recommended approximately every three to six months.
  • Actual cartridge lifespan depends on water conditions, temperature, flow rate and usage.
  • Reduced flow or performance caused by a used, saturated or blocked cartridge is not considered a manufacturing defect.
  • A cartridge that arrives damaged, incorrect or defective may be reported to Rivo for assessment.

5. Surface Finish and Product Care

Rivo products should be cleaned using clean water, a soft cloth and, where required, a mild pH-neutral cleanser. The product should be rinsed thoroughly and dried after cleaning.

Appearance and surface-finish concerns will be assessed according to whether they materially affect the product's overall appearance, taking into account the nature of the product, its price, the location and visibility of the issue, reasonable manufacturing tolerances and the circumstances in which the product is viewed and used.

A significant appearance or finish issue is generally one that is readily noticeable under normal bathroom lighting and from an ordinary viewing distance, and which materially detracts from the overall appearance of the installed product.

Assessment will not ordinarily be based solely on magnified photographs, camera flash, directed lighting or extremely close inspection that makes an otherwise inconspicuous mark appear more prominent.

Subject to applicable Singapore law, the following will not ordinarily be regarded as manufacturing defects where they are minor, isolated and do not materially affect the product's overall appearance, operation or durability:

  • Minute dots, specks, pinprick marks or small coating irregularities.
  • Fine hairline marks or light superficial scratches that are not readily visible during normal use.
  • Slight variations in colour, tone, texture, gloss or reflectivity.
  • Minor marks arising from normal manufacturing, packaging, handling or transportation.
  • Minor variations between separate components or production batches.
  • Differences between the physical product and website photographs caused by lighting, screen settings or photographic conditions.

The above does not exclude assessment of more substantial issues, including prominent scratches, dents, chips, peeling, blistering, flaking, corrosion, significant discolouration or coating failure that is excessive for the product and materially affects its appearance or durability.

Visible damage believed to have occurred during delivery should be reported to Rivo as soon as reasonably practicable after receipt, together with photographs of the product and its packaging. Material transit damage will be assessed separately as an order or delivery issue.

Surface-finish coverage does not include damage caused or materially contributed to by:

  • Impact, dropping, scratches, dents, chips or accidental damage after delivery.
  • Abrasive pads, brushes, scouring tools or unsuitable cleaning equipment.
  • Acidic, alkaline, chlorine-based or corrosive cleaners.
  • Bleach, toilet cleaners, descaling chemicals or strong bathroom chemicals.
  • Cement, grout, renovation dust or construction materials.
  • Incorrect installation, dismantling, modification or maintenance.
  • Failure to rinse away cleaning products or prolonged exposure to chemical residue.

6. General Exclusions

This voluntary warranty does not cover loss, damage, deterioration or failure to the extent that it was caused or materially contributed to by:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Misuse, abuse, negligence or accidental damage.
  • Dropping, impact or overtightening.
  • Unsuitable tools, excessive force or improper handling.
  • Incorrect installation, modification or unauthorised repair that caused or contributed to the claimed issue.
  • Scale, mineral deposits, sediment, rust, debris or blockage.
  • Household water-pressure or flow conditions that are insufficient for the intended product performance.
  • Freezing, excessive heat, unsuitable water conditions or environmental conditions outside the intended residential use.
  • Normal deterioration of washers, seals and other replaceable wear components, except where premature failure is confirmed to have resulted from a manufacturing defect.
  • Normal depletion, saturation or scheduled replacement of Air8 filter cartridges.
  • Alteration, dismantling or unauthorised repair where that work caused, contributed to or prevents reasonable assessment of the claimed issue.
  • Removed, altered or unreadable product-identification markings where the markings are reasonably required to verify the product or assess the claim.
  • Commercial, industrial or other non-residential use, unless agreed by Rivo in writing.

Minor cosmetic variations are assessed under Section 5 and are not excluded merely because they do not affect mechanical operation. A confirmed material manufacturing defect affecting appearance or finish may still be eligible for assessment.

7. Labour, Site Attendance and Related Costs

This voluntary product warranty primarily covers the eligible Rivo product or component. Unless required by applicable law or expressly confirmed by Rivo in writing, it does not ordinarily include:

  • Plumbing or installation labour.
  • Onsite inspection or attendance charges.
  • Removal or reinstallation of the product.
  • Delivery, collection or transportation charges.
  • Opening or reinstatement of walls, ceilings, tiles or cabinetry.
  • Rectification of existing plumbing or surrounding bathroom finishes.

Where an onsite assessment is requested and no covered product defect is found, reasonable attendance, inspection or labour charges may apply. Any proposed charge will be disclosed and accepted by the customer before the visit is confirmed.

No assessment charge will ordinarily apply where the visit confirms a defect covered by this warranty, unless separate non-warranty work has been requested and agreed in advance.

8. Warranty Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim, please contact Rivo by email or message Rivo on WhatsApp.

Please provide the following information:

  • Your order number, invoice or other proof of purchase.
  • The product model and colour.
  • The delivery date and, where applicable, installation date.
  • A clear description of the issue and when it began.
  • Clear photographs of the product and complete installation.
  • A short video demonstrating the issue, where applicable.
  • Details of the water heater and plumbing arrangement where relevant.

For appearance or finish concerns, please provide photographs showing both the complete product under normal bathroom lighting and a closer view of the affected area. Rivo may request additional photographs to assess the location, visibility and extent of the issue.

Rivo may begin with remote troubleshooting and may request further photographs, videos or information before arranging a replacement or onsite assessment.

Please do not dismantle, modify or repair internal components unless authorised by Rivo. Unauthorised work may affect warranty eligibility where it causes or worsens the damage, contributes to the claimed issue or prevents reasonable assessment.

Active leakage
If there is an active leak, discontinue use and shut off the relevant water supply where it is safe to do so. Contact Rivo as soon as reasonably possible.

9. Assessment and Resolution

All warranty claims are subject to reasonable verification and assessment. Where a defect covered by this voluntary warranty is confirmed, Rivo will offer an appropriate repair, replacement or other resolution having regard to the nature of the defect and product availability.

Where the customer also has statutory rights under applicable Singapore law, the available remedies will be determined in accordance with those rights and may include repair, replacement, an appropriate price reduction, rescission, refund or another applicable remedy.

A resolution may include:

  • Repair of the affected component.
  • Supply of a replacement component.
  • Replacement of the affected product.
  • Replacement with a reasonably equivalent product where the original product or finish is no longer available.
  • A price adjustment, refund or other appropriate remedy where applicable.

Replacement components or products may differ slightly in colour, finish, dimensions or design where the original model has been updated or discontinued. Any difference should not materially reduce the intended functionality or overall quality of the applicable replacement.

Under this voluntary warranty, a repaired or replacement product or component remains covered for the balance of the original warranty period, unless Rivo confirms a longer period in writing. This does not limit any statutory rights that may apply to the repair, replacement product or replacement component.

10. Returns, Refunds and Consumer Rights

Change-of-mind returns and general return requests are subject to our Refund Policy. Incorrect items, transit damage and incomplete deliveries should be reported to Rivo as soon as reasonably practicable so that the matter can be assessed.

The Refund Policy and this voluntary product warranty do not exclude, restrict or replace any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable Singapore law, including rights relating to goods that do not conform to the applicable sale contract.
